The holidays here arrive on a strange kind of winter. The Lowcountry stays humid and mild most of the season, and then a hard cold snap drops in without much warning; our crew has hung lights in 30-degree December weather more than once. Most homes around here are two-story vinyl-siding builds with steep rooflines and ridgelines, and getting a clean run of lights up there is exactly the height-and-ladder work most homeowners would rather not do standing on a cold rung themselves.
That is the part we take off your hands. We design the display with you, install commercial-grade lights that are custom-cut and fitted to your property, keep them running through the season, take everything down in January, and store it labeled for next year. Holy City Hydroshine handles the whole thing with a fully insured crew, so you get the display without ever climbing a ladder.

We light both homes and commercial properties, and the two work a little differently. Here is what each looks like.
For a home, it starts with an on-site design walkthrough where we map out what gets lit and how. From there we install:
Every strand is custom-cut and fitted to the home, with no balled-up excess wire, and we supply the lights ourselves rather than installing store-bought strings. One price covers the whole season, and lighting is booked one season at a time within the residential window of September 1 through December 15. Getting a clean run onto steep two-story Summerville rooflines is exactly the kind of ladder work most homeowners would rather hand off, and that is the part we handle for you.
We also light commercial properties, and the list of what that can cover is wide:
Commercial installs are priced per linear foot, with large-scale projects quoted by time, and for bigger multi-building jobs we can staff and stage the work by coordinating with other area companies and running a growing fleet. These jobs carry an earlier deadline than residential, with larger installs needing to be booked by Thanksgiving to leave time to design, source, and schedule them, and we are fully insured for commercial work with coverage most companies in our area cannot match.
We design lighting for the whole property, not just the roofline, and cut every strand to fit the exact run so each area reads clean.
The main lines of the house, run along the roof edges and up the ridges so the whole outline of the home reads clean against the night.
Lighting along walkways to frame the approach to the home or entrance.
Mini lights wrapped to columns and posts, fitted to the height and width of each one.
LED mini lights over shrubs and landscape plantings, sized to the plant.
Mini lights on trees, with trunks and branches wrapped or draped to the design agreed at the walkthrough.
Lighting run along fence lines where it fits the property’s overall design.
The quality of the fixture is a real part of what you are paying for, so here is exactly what goes up on your property.

The C9 bulbs that line rooflines and ridgelines, custom-cut to the exact run so the roof reads clean with no gaps or wire left over.

Mini lights for trees, shrubs, columns, and plant life, sized and wrapped to each so the whole property lights up, not just the roof.

Wreaths and garland to finish entrances, columns, and railings, priced per item and fitted to the spot.
You choose the look at the on-site design walkthrough: warm white, multicolor, a custom color, or color-changing RGB.

Our most popular look, a classic, uniform glow. It is the default most homeowners land on.

The traditional multicolor mix for a festive, classic-Christmas feel.

Any custom color to match a theme or a brand, chosen at the on-site design walkthrough.

Color-changing RGB for a modern, flexible look. We do not offer music or synchronized light shows.
The install is only the start of what one price covers. From design through the end of the season, we handle the whole lifecycle: the on-site design, the install, in-season maintenance, January takedown, and storage afterward. Nothing about the season lands back on you.
Everything comes down in January and goes into storage labeled to your home, so you never get on a ladder and never end up with a tangle of lights taking over the garage. Because they are our lights and our install, keeping them working and getting them down are our responsibility, not yours.

Our lights are commercial-grade and custom-cut, and they are built to be serviced across the whole season rather than swapped out as a unit. That means if a single bulb ever gives out, it stays a single bulb, and your display keeps glowing while we take care of it.

Instead of hiring a separate window company, a gutter company, and a pressure washer, you get it all done in one visit, by one company, with one bill, while we're already on site. And when the holidays come around, the same company you already trust with your exterior can put up your Christmas lights too.

Our sales rep walks the design with you on site and shows an AI rendering of the finished look before install day, so you approve the plan before we hang a single light. There is no guesswork and no surprise when it lights up.
From your first call to a fully serviced season, here is how the job runs.
You call or book online, and our sales rep comes out for an on-site walkthrough. Together you scope the design, which rooflines, trees, columns, shrubs, walkways, and fences get lit, and the rep reviews an AI rendering of the finished look with you before anything is set. A written, no-obligation estimate follows.
A 50% deposit holds your install date. Residential installs are scheduled inside the September 1 through December 15 window, and larger commercial jobs need to be set by Thanksgiving, so the deposit is what puts your date on the calendar.
The crew installs your commercial-grade C9 bulbs along rooflines and ridgelines and LED mini lights on trees, shrubs, columns, and plant life, plus any wreaths and garland. Every custom-cut strand is fitted to the property, with no balled-up excess wire, and all of the lights are ours, not store-bought.
If anything goes out during the season, we come back and fix it, so your display stays lit from install through takedown. Keeping the lighting working through the season is on us, and we back that with a clear response commitment.
Once the season wraps, the crew comes back in January and takes everything down. You never touch a ladder to bring the lights in.
We store your lights labeled to your home, so re-installing the same design next year is quick and easy, with no re-measuring and no starting over.
Residential holiday lighting starts at an $800 minimum and averages $1,200 or more, with the total driven by how much of the property you light. Commercial work is priced per linear foot.
We also offer a couple of ways to save that are worth asking about at your estimate. Repeat customers can re-book in the off-season at a reduced rate with payments spread over several months, so ask about re-booking for next season. There is also an early-install discount in the works; ask about it when you get your estimate.
If anything goes out with your holiday lighting, we’ll be back to fix it within 48 hours, at no charge, as long as it’s not damage from something like a lawnmower running over a cord. They’re our lights, so they’re our responsibility to keep working. It is a straightforward response commitment you can count on for the whole season.
We supply the lights. We install our own commercial-grade lights, custom-cut and fitted to your home; we don’t install store-bought lights, because when one bulb goes out on those, the whole string tends to go with it. Ours are commercial-grade and custom-cut so they can be maintained through the whole season rather than failing as a unit.
Residential installs are booked from September 1 through December 15. Commercial installs, especially larger jobs, need to be booked by Thanksgiving to leave time to design and schedule them. A 50% deposit secures your install date once you approve the plan.
You do need to be available for the on-site design walkthrough, since that is where we agree on the plan together before anything goes up. For install day itself, the simplest thing is to confirm what works with your rep at your estimate, and we will set it up around that.
Not at this time. This is a seasonal Christmas light installation service, with everything taken down in January and stored for the next holiday season.
Getting ready for the holidays starts with a free, no-obligation on-site design consultation and estimate. Summerville homes and businesses are already planning their season, so it is worth reaching out early while there is still room on the schedule to get your design set.
